FAQs

Kula is a community-driven support system for moms. Our flagship offering is a recurring, in-person peer support circle paired with on-site child care, so moms can feel seen, supported, and centered. We also offer a range of connection points such as coffee meetups, commute buddies, and lunches to help moms build their village, one meaningful moment at a time.
-
Kula is open to mothers of all ages and with children of all ages from newborns to grown-ups. Whether you're a first-time mom, a mom of multiple, a stepmom, adoptive mom, or any mom in between, you are welcome here.
-
Our circles are intentionally and thoughtfully curated based on location, life stage and shared interests, identity and values. We consider your intake survey responses and follow-up chat to ensure each group feels like a good fit for its members.
-
No, Kula is not a substitute for therapy. We are a peer-based community support group, not a clinical or medical service. We lovingly encourage you to seek professional mental health support if you're struggling. Therapy is a powerful tool, and reaching for it is a sign of care, not weakness. You deserve both care and care teams.

We’re launching our Kula Circles in the Bay Area, with plans to expand to other cities based on interest and demand from moms. Sign up for our newsletter to be the first to know about launches, special events and exclusive sales.

Joining Kula is simple and starts with getting to know you! Join our waitlist so we can understand your interests, needs, and availability. We thoughtfully place moms into peer support groups based on life stage, location, and shared experiences. Once you're matched, we’ll reach out with next steps to join a Kula Circle near you. And don’t worry, we’ll also keep you in the loop about other upcoming meetups, events, and ways to connect with our community.
-
For a limited time, we are providing Brewing Bonds and Commute Connect offerings for free. Additionally, we host a variety of events at different price points that you can choose from.
To reserve your spot in a Kula Circle and help us plan resources such as professional childcare and group facilitation, we ask for a commitment deposit that's partially refundable. Because we offer limited spots and incur upfront costs, the deposit helps ensure every seat is filled by someone ready to engage. It’s our way of protecting the integrity of the group while honoring your time and ours. This will be returned at the end of the program if you attend all sessions or communicate in advance if you need to miss one. Life happens: we’re moms too. Communication is key! Just keep us in the loop.
We try to ensure all of our offerings are affordable because making mom friends shouldn't be expensive.
-
Nope! Most moms come by themselves and make new friends at our events or circles.

Our flagship support circles meet monthly, depending on the cohort’s preferences. Each session is designed to be intentional and structured, with time to connect, reflect, and share.
